Endeavors Unable To Secure Funding, Suspends Shares

These are troubled times for application virtualization and streaming startup Endeavors Technologies, who recently released its Application Jukebox and split the offer into 3 separate editions. Apparently, the company has been unable to secure a large funding round after exploring a number of possible options, resulting in a suspension of ordinary shares which have stopped trading on the London Stock Exchange.

David Lee, Chairman of Endeavors commented:

“The continued decline in institutional confidence has undermined our best efforts to satisfactorily conclude the proposed re-construction of the company and our inability to attract the relevant level of investment appropriate to the company’s phase of development is deeply disappointing. We are exploring all available options”

A further announcement is expected to be made in due course.

Endeavors Formally Releases Application Jukebox, Includes Free Version

Endeavors Technologies partially released its application virtualization and delivery product Application Jukebox in early April of this year, and has now split the offer into 3 editions: Enterprise, SaaS and Lite.

The most notable is the Lite edition, a freely available version of Endeavors’ patented application streaming technology, designed to run all services on one server and allows administrators to publish and stream their own Windows-based applications or choose from a selection of already published applications to stream.

The Application Jukebox family of products contain three key components. Application Jukebox Player sits on the client to create the virtual application environment and provides user authentication and application license enforcement. Application Jukebox Server controls and delivers applications, provides usage monitoring and logging, plus group, user and application level administration. Application Jukebox Studio allows ISVs and IT administrators to create a streamable, virtualized “appset” from standard, Windows-based applications that is then published to the server.

Endeavors recently launched its Application Jukebox, an application virtualization and delivery product, taking the concepts of application encapsulation and application streaming to a new level.

The two versions of Application Jukebox available today include Endeavors’ unique, fully-configurable virtualization that provides administrators with the flexibility to publish applications in fully isolated (sandboxed) mode, fully integrated mode, or any combination between the two options. Application Jukebox SaaS Edition features usage metering and a kiosk mode to support a pay-as-you-go model for application rental, plus portals that provide an easy-to-use environment for service providers and ISVs to create a custom application landing site. Application Jukebox Enterprise Edition supports Active Directory and offers user and group monitoring, as well as extensive tracking and support for cost-effective license management.

Endeavors Partnering Up With Several US Companies

Endeavors Technologies , an application streaming and virtualisation technology provider and its UK-based parent company, Tadpole Technology , have announced a new multi-level partner programme with Blackhawk Technology Consulting , Client-Server Technology Group , and NTAKT7 in the Americas region.

Endeavors develops technologies that enable servers to stream PC-based applications to client computers for execution. Application virtualisation and streaming enables organisations to reduce the total cost of ownership by improving service levels, simplifying the management of computers and improving security and reliability. The company provides its services through licensing, royalty, and technology transfer models.

According to Endeavors, the partner companies will participate at four levels: reseller partners, consulting partners, accredited partners and premier partners.

Reseller partners are service providers, value-added resellers (VARs) and systems integrators that sell Endeavors’s products.

Consulting partners offer products or services that complement Endeavors’s application virtualisation and streaming products and accredited partners are managed service providers, VARs and systems integrators that sell the company’s products and also provide basic, first line technical support.

Premier partners are national or international managed service providers, VARs and system integrators with technical expertise to provide in-depth technical support for the products of Endeavors that they sell.

Peter Bondar, CEO, Endeavors Technologies, said: “Partners form a strategic component of our expansion plans; harnessing their expertise and relationships allows us to leverage our sales resources and engage with a broader set of potential customers, sooner. We are particularly pleased to have attracted partners with considerable expertise in other application virtualisation products.”

Endeavors claims that its partners will reap benefits from joint marketing activities, sales leads, training, technical support and other resources.

Bondar claimed that the company’s partners have shown interest in using its products in enterprise application virtualisation deployments. The products are also useful to partners who offer their software as software as a service (SaaS) model. Application Jukebox, Endeavors’s application streaming and virtualisation product suite, includes both enterprise and SaaS versions. He added that the company was concentrating on developing its distribution channels and strategy.
