A really interesting green computer technology I found is desktop virtualization. It’s where multiple people can use the same computer at the same time each with their own monitor, mouse and keyboard. This saves a lot of electricity and e-waste. A company called Userful recently set a virtualization world record by delivering over 350,000 virtual desktops to schools in Brazil. They have a free 2-user version for home use too. From what I can read about Userful though is that it only works with Linux. Most school in the US need or at least want Windows capability thus procucts such as Fiddlehead (www.myfiddlehead.com) seem more appropriate.

I would say this is a nice idea to save electricity. But as Larry mentioned that this has Linux as its OS, so it will definitely create some problem as Children there might be with Windows. This is one this which has to be looked upon and corrected.
