3PAR Launches Utility Storage in India, Appoints Arvind Khurana As Country Manager

April 7, 2010 by Robin Wauters Leave a Comment

3PAR announced today that it has launched its first sales and customer service office in India and has named Arvind Khurana as country manager.

This move into India is intended to position 3PAR to meet growing demand for technologies to support cloud computing, the virtual datacenter, green IT initiatives, and enhanced infrastructure agility in an economy that has been expanding in the midst of a worldwide recession.

The opening of a new 3PAR sales and customer service office with 12 employees in Bangalore underscores the strength of the Indian economy, and the role that 3PAR intends to play in helping Indian organizations expand in an agile, efficient, and environmentally responsible way.

Based in Delhi, Khurana is responsible for overall sales execution for 3PAR in the country. He was formerly country sales manager for Collabnet Software, where he drove awareness of that company’s collaborative development environment. At Collabnet, Khurana also formed and led the company’s sales organization and forged strategic relationships with enterprise software vendors as well as some of India’s largest systems integration and consulting firms.

The increased commitment to the Indian market is part of 3PAR’s growth strategy in the entire Asia Pacific region, which 3PAR views as critical to the company’s business agenda. Many of 3PAR’s global customers such as Credit Suisse, Savvis, and Verizon have stated plans to expand their presence in these markets and consolidate their businesses in countries throughout the region. 3PAR’s APAC headquarters, headed by Vaughan Woods, is located in Singapore.
